Description

Usage of Hydro Light dog

Hydro-light dog is a complementary feed, which contains ingredients supporting homeostasis in the body. Maintaining the water-electrolyte balance has a positive impact on the functioning of the nervous system, regulating the muscle tension and nerve conduction.

Composition of Hydro Light dog

The ingredients in Hydro-light dog help maintain the electrolyte balance of a dog and prevent dehydration; they also support the correct functioning of the nervous system.

Sodium is responsible for osmoregulation and maintaining the correct water-electrolyte balance in the dog’s body.

Potassium regulates the excretion of sodium from the body and helps maintain the acid-base balance.

Together with sodium, potassium is responsible for regulating muscle tone (including the heart muscle) and nerve conduction.

Maltodextrins are complex sugars, characterised by high tolerance and assimilability in the dog’s digestive system.

Magnesium is a macronutrient responsible for the proper functioning of myocyte membranes and cells of the nervous system. Magnesium deficiency can lead to heart rhythm disturbances and muscle weakness.

Zinc is an element that, as a component of metalloenzymes and a cofactor of RNA and DNA polymerases, is involved in cell cycle regulation. Zinc-dependent metalloenzymes are involved in the biosynthesis of muscle proteins.

Fructooligosaccharides (FOS) are a prebiotic which regulates the activity of the physiological intestinal flora of dogs. FOS increases the absorption of magnesium and calcium in the dog’s digestive tract.

Bee honey has bacteriostatic and anti-inflammatory properties.

How can you recognise dehydration of a dog and what are its causes?

Every dog is at risk of dehydration and loss of valuable electrolytes. Dehydration is a dangerous condition that can be difficult for the caregiver to recognise. This is why reducing the risk of dehydration is so important. A dehydrated dog may be tired, lethargic and may pant rapidly. Sunken eyes, dry nose and dry gums may also indicate dehydration. Loss of skin turgor is also a common symptom.

There are many factors that increase the loss of water, together with electrolytes. These include:

  • closed spaces (poor ventilation, heating),
  • high ambient temperatures,
  • negative temperatures,
  • growth and development,
  • pregnancy, labour and lactation,
  • physical activity (walking),
  • inadequate access to water.

Another important factor that contributes to electrolyte imbalance and dehydration of a dog is diarrhoea; dogs in this condition often refuse to drink, although they should replenish their fluid levels. The veterinarian may also recommend electrolyte supplementation, which helps the patient to recover faster and get in good condition.

How to properly supplement your dog to prevent dehydration?

Dehydration of your dog and loss of valuable electrolytes can be effectively prevented by the ingredients in Hydro-light dog. The taste and form of administration are also important – Hydro-light dog comes in the form of a sachet that is dissolved in water. Dogs are eager to drink the solution of water and Hydro-light dog, so it is easy for the owner to take care of their hydration.
